I've always been proud of my hands. These are strong, capable hands. They are delicate and loving while being strong and forceful. They create, they take care and they make things happen.
In today's post was a woo-woo spiritual piece that was talking about palm reading. I was about to toss it when I grabbed G's hand and compared his and mine to the chart. We spent a while trying to figure out what we were looking at before tossing them inevitably in the trash. My hands are very different from his. I've never seen weirder hands than G's. They are not the hands of a manually inclined person. He calls them "specialized" while my are very multi-purposed. It was his final choice of comparative words that had me literally on the floor laughing so hard I couldn't breathe:
"Whereas my hands are very specialized, like a Mercedes Benz, yours are very industrial, like a tractor."
Like a tractor.
Great.
How fulfilling. *rolls eyes*

"Well, at least my hands are industrious and are dependably good for a lot of things. Your very specialized hands are much like Scottish bagpipes."
Well they are. They're puffy, oddly shaped and G's full of whiney hot air.
