Forgive me friends, for I have sinned. It has been two weeks since my last cybercafe. In the meanwhile, I have traveled through the body of France and we are currently in Bruges Belgium. We arrived this afternoon. Last you heard, I was in Avignon leaving for Carcassonne. Carcassonne was awesome. Just like the game, only more three dimensional. *giggle* We went to the Dordogne valley and stayed in Sarlat, then up to Loire valley to Amboise, over to Mont St. Michel, then to Dinan Brittany. We spent a few days in Paris, but since we have to leave Paris, we decided to travel some more before we return. We are thinking of Amsterdam, Luxumberg and maybe some of the Alsace area of France. I may end up a little spoiled with all the English up here, though. I don't have to think as hard for my conversations. I'll get lazy and won't remember my French. I've already forgotten some of my Italian words. Well, at least they seem so long ago.

It amazes me how fast the weeks go by, and at the same time, how long it seems it has been. Actually, I'm rather homesick. As much fun and adventure as we are having, I really miss my girls, and I miss my friends, and my pillow, and comfy bed and all the rest of my clothes. I've been wearing the same 3 tops (a heavier sweater, a medium weight top and a gauzy blouse) and two skirts (one long, one mini) for the whole time. I may have to throw them away from the wear by the time I return. *grin*

I wish I could take you all with me. There have been so many times that certain things have reminded me of one or more of you and I really wanted you here to share it with me. Ah well. Nevertheless, I do miss home. It's been a really long time away. We are actually wishing we had kept it to two months and could cut out the last two weeks. I think it would cost us more to do that at this time.

We keep saying that we want to return, though. We'd do it differently next time. I think we'd pack a little more heavily, use the foreign buy-a-car deal and try to split the cost of living with two more people. I think if there were four people in a car and in a room, we'd have a blast and it would really save money. Anyone interested in a month in France someday?

Okay, time to look at email. Love you all.

[livejournal.com profile] naudiz and I are so there. Just give me five years advanced warning, so that I can start saving up the money. :) Oh, and remind us not to have children...

Consider the warning given... oh, and don't have children. *grins and giggles*

But, if you do, we'll just have to take them along. Maybe we'll be able to conceive by then too. Imagine the chaos.

Hmmmm...

Maybe we could make it 2 cars and 8 people plus kids... :)
Mr. EvilOverlord and I come too? (not that he thinks he'd enjoy France... too many bad experiences with bad foreign exchange students...but I'll teach 'im!)

EEEEK! My Family's breeding... the world is doomed!

Re: Hmmmm...

Heck, we could rent a bus and travel the countryside like the Partridge family! Wheee!

Nice try, but no. :) I find it highly unlikely that we could afford both children and a trip to Europe... at least, not until we sent 'em off to college.

We'd still plan to make the trip, but it would be closer to 2025 than 2009. :)

Hurry home to us, we miss you! I'd love to go to France with you. Biomekanic and I will have to save up our time and money. I've never been outside the US so it would be an experience for me. Please take us with you next time!

I would love for us to go together. We'd have a blast. I wonder, though if all four of us could even eat at the same restaurant... we have such different food allergies. It's hard enough for me, I can't imagine no wheat in Europe. We'd somehow make it through. We're a tough old tribe.
