I'll give you a brief rundown of our latest adventures.
4-16 We toured the Vatican and St. Peter's Church. I spent most of that day in Bernini ecstasy. *sigh*
4-17 We traveled most of the day from Rome to Siena. G started his relapse and he is sick.
4-18 to 4-20 We hole up in a convent in Siena. The convents here rent out really nice rooms for very little money. Very cool. G spends most of his days in bed sick. I explore Siena mostly on my own. Poor G. It was him that wanted to see the Tuscan countryside so badly and we never could do that with him so sick.
4-21 We take the bus to Florence and explore the Duomo and Baptistry.
4-22 Uffizi Gallery. G still sick so he spent the afternoon back in bed.
4-23 Accademia in the morning and Boboli Gardens in afternoon.
4-24 Bargello Gallery in the morning and Santa Croce church in early afternoon.
We've been taking it really easy to try and give G time to heal. His throat is better today but he is still hacking and coughing uncomfortably. *sigh* Without access to my usual personal pharmacopia and treatment plans, I am relying upon the over the counter medicines and cough syrups in the farmacias here to help him. It's taking far longer this way. I just want him well.
