I haven’t been great about updating for a few days because I was busy upgrading. My Mom’s computer died a couple of months ago and we finally decided what to do about it. G bought me a new computer and I’m passing my old one on to Mom. It will be more than suitable for her needs where as I had stretched its resources pretty thinly to cover my needs. All is well. I’m really excited as this computer just screams compared to the crunching my old one had to do for every task. It’s also really silent running. I can’t even hear it where the old one just whirred constantly. What a difference.

In other news, I’m starting to experience that nervous excitement I always feel right before a trip. I’ve been busy with all my last minute preparations. It amazes me how many there are. Wheee!

In preparation for the trip, I’ve diverted my email to a Yahoo account. The email address will stay the same, it will just forward so I can read my email in Europe. I also intend to cut my LJ list down a bit. I don’t know how often I’ll be checking LJ, but I’m currently monitoring 47 accounts which means I usually have to scroll back more pages than LJ allows for even 2 weeks. I really need to tone it down for Europe or I’ll not be able to afford hotel rooms for the cyber cafe fees. I’ll catch up with everyone when I return.

Okay, I’m going to get ready for bed. Work day tomorrow.

Hey there, stranger

Hello Carol, good to see you ^^

This is my site, I currently do not have much on it, but I intend to use it as encouragement to write more often. Short stories and whatnot. Not poetry, songs, or the like. If you want to see what high schoolers are dealing with today, try reading some of the people connected to me. I don't know if they represent teenagers as a whole, but it's fun.

I'll talk to you more later ^^

Hey there! It was good to see you last night. Hopefully, I'll see you again next week before we leave. *hug*

Mostly virtual ones, I'd say. We'll be stopping at a cyber cafe at least every two weeks to check our mail and pay our bills. I'll send news to LJ then. I'll be keeping a travel journal which I will probably post at some point upon return, but I doubt I'll have time to type it all at a cafe.

:(

Did you know you could just set up filters to only read certain posts while you're away?

Well. Sorry for not being scintillating. :} Have fun in Europe! I envy your trippage. Are you planning to add us chaff back when you return?

I'll have to look that up... I didn't know you could filter the reading part. It makes me sad to delete some people, so I saved all the deleted journals as favourite links so I could add them back when we return. It's just that my friend page is soooooo big.

You, in person, are fascinating and fun, but your LJ lately is mostly school stuff and people and places I don't know. I've only shaved off the people I don't see or deal with on a regular basis. (I was really hoping you'd move here for college. *sigh* Stupid money issues.)

I do want to check out that filter, though. I assume it will be in the FAQ. I'll read up on it after work today.

Hugs to you and the Boy.
