What was…

1. ...your first grade teacher's name?
Fran Ferretti.

2. ...your favorite Saturday morning cartoon?
I love to wake especially early on Saturdays to watch the local artist that had a show teaching children to draw things. I think it was on at 6am. The I watched “Thunderbirds” (the show with the marionette-like characters). There were the usual “Scooby Doo”, “Superfriends”, and some others that I can’t really recall at the moment. The morning usually ended with an hour of “Looney Tunes” and then the Creature Double Feature which involved a lot of Godzilla, King Kong and Creature from the Black Lagoon–type movies. My Dad used to watch the last few with me. I really miss him.

3. ...the name of your very first best friend?
Jim Fielder. The boy next door… literally.

4. ...your favorite breakfast cereal?
Coco rice Krispies. They made the milk taste good.

5. ...your favorite thing to do after school?
Wow. I’ve not thought about this for a while. Hmmm… I used to build things. I’d take blankets and cardboard and anything else I could scrounge and build forts, dollhouses, I’d make wagons to have my plastic horses pull, I’d sew clothes for my dolls, I’d draw, I’d read, and Mom and I would play games. There was homework and some TV in there too. Mostly “Gilligan’s Island” and the campy “Batman”. I think I really had a crush on every one of the Catwomen. I definitely had a crush on Samantha from “Bewitched”. That nose wiggle is still a hoot. *wink*

Yes. I don't remember that particular movie, but that doesn't mean I haven't seen it. I tend to not file movies into long-term memory unless I've seen them 6 times. But we did have the creature double feature. Dad and I would watch it together and bond.
