Well, the dust hasn’t quite settled. I didn’t accomplish nearly as much as I needed to… we just kept coming up with more missing items throughout the day. The police report looks like my 6th grade history notebook with notes written up the sides. So far we’ve totaled the damage at around $7000 or so. Not bad for one backpack full of stuff. It’s the littlest things that are costing the most. Like the keys. One car key, two house keys and two bike lock keys may set us back $400 in new locks. It’s the car that’s really pricey. They estimate between $250 and $300 to re-key that. The older cars were cheaper to do. *sigh*

Anyway, I spent most of my day organizing and trying to figure out what was gone and dealing with all the red tape surrounding it. They stole checks from the MIDDLE of G’s checkbook so he didn’t notice them gone last night. These kids are way smarter than me. They managed to cash over $600 from his account before he noticed it and froze it. You know, I don’t even want to be in the same neighborhood as this kid when the karma starts hitting.

So, I didn’t get my house totally cleansed yet and I didn’t even begin my Italian homework. I did manage to make it out to buy new key rings and a new lock and light for my bike. I’ve just eaten, there is tea brewing for me, and I’m rapidly heading toward that snuggly hour when the world can only be viewed from nestled among pillows, puppies and G. Too little sleep, too much crap… I just want a movie and snuggles. I don’t think there will be much hope for Italian tonight.

Accepting love in a big way! I love the love. We're okay, that's all that really matters. It's an inconvenience, but we're healthy and ready to play this weekend.

Crack heads are way too smart. You'd think the one brain cell left in their blown out minds wouldn't of thought of that check thing...wow, that super sucks. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help you guys.

They stole checks and cashed them too. How terrible! I am so sorry to hear of all the damage they are doing. My heart goes out to you.

Being somewhat sensitive to icky energy here is a suggestion you can take or leave as you see fit. :)
One thing I like to do is smudge the place after a good clean when something widgy happens in my home. It helps clear out the bad energy. I use sage, burn it around the house, in all the corners. Splattering salt water around can work as well.

Hope the list of missing items stops growing.

Well, I haven't actually finished the deep clean I intended yet. Yesterday was all bureaucracy. I slept in this morning and intend to get to that cleaning. I like to boil sea salt in water and add a clean scented oil to the mix. The smudging aggrevates G's asthma so I prefer a less smoky energy cleanser. Thank you for your suggestion. *hugs*
