It was a lovely day at work today. Not too busy, never slow. I served some really fun customers and there was no one too quirky or rude. A lovely day.

We aren’t going away this weekend after all. It appears we’ll be away the weekend of the 14th instead. That means I’m open to having fun on Sunday… any takers?

I looked at March’s schedule for work today. I’m leaving for Europe Wednesday the 31st of March but I’m working almost the whole week before (25th through 28th). I’d file that under the “sucks” category. I don’t like it, but I’ll do it and not complain because I still haven’t told her that we extended our tickets last week to be out of the country until June 16th. That’s another 2 Saturdays I won’t be available.

I’m really excited about being in Europe for such a wonderfully long time, but I’m missing some really important events here at home that sadden me. I won’t be around for Trish when she gives birth, I’ll miss [livejournal.com profile] dreadygoddess’s graduation, I’ll miss [livejournal.com profile] kmamabutterfly’s visit, I’ll miss 6 birthdays and Egils.

On the other hand, I’ll be experiencing Europe! For the first time in this life! All the history, architecture and art I’ve been studying my whole life, I’ll be able to see and touch for the first time. I can’t even explain how important this is to me. Plus, I’ll be walking on the soil of my forebears. I can’t wait! Now, if I could just find a knapsack that I could fit all my essential AND a change of clothes in…

I guess that has been my big issue the past few days. I’m trying to pack for 2+ months in Europe and I can fit neither my nutritional supplements nor a change of clothing in my backpack. I don’t want to take the knapsack on wheels because the straps aren’t comfy and it’s much heavier for having the wheels. I may have to break down and go shopping for another pack. *sigh*

Anyway, I’m going to watch a movie with G tonight. Puppy pile on the couch!

I was wondering if you could do the reservations for next Orycon's hotel room. This seems to involve lots of phone calls during business hours, since the run-around factor is etremely high.
