It’s been an interesting couple of days. I’ve been working very steadily and have two days left. Yeah for that!

Sunday was slammed at the store but by 4pm, we were down to a trickle. Very boring. At least until 5pm when a couple that were both stoned AND drunk decided to come in and frolic for my entertainment. They were pretty harmless and seemed like happy drunks. They were highly annoying to the olfactory system but I was in need of something to do, so I waited upon them. They did actually spend money. [livejournal.com profile] dreadygoddess was helping the woman, I helped the man, and we then watched as they capered for us. The rest of the employees stayed way in the back of the store for some reason. Anyhow, about 30 minutes later, Susan became very frustrated with their antics and decided to close the store early, thus tossing them out. The worst part was the horrible scent that lingered in my nose until I went home and de-toxified myself. Even G commented upon the odd odor that prevailed around me. I visualize Pigpen from the Peanuts comic. I did some laundry, scrubbed, showered, and adorned myself with scented oils, then retired to bed.

This morning was interesting in that it began to snow some time after I entered the shower. I immediately informed my Australian of the weather and he jumped out of bed lickety-split. My Great Australian Folke Hero does become quite excited by snow, it being so rare a thing for him.

So, I head off for work on the bike. Much fun was had! There was only one other person on a bike and she was walking it. Hah! I made it to work and was immediately chastised for riding there in bike shorts. Silly people. Snow and rain evaporate off skin so much faster than my skirts and bloomers. Shorts make sense. *petulant, impish snort*

When I went in the building, I was informed that Stacy had closed for the day. Most of the employees that showed up went home. I stayed because a few brave souls had braved the weather to shop and were waiting at the door. I punched in for an hour and attended them, then punched out. Stacy thought maybe she might wait around and try to open at noon. I decided to stay and see what happened. There were the two of us and one other there when she opened the doors at noon. Within 10 minutes the store was swamped and Stacy was calling for reinforcements. We stayed open until 4 and we were slammed the whole time. Go fig. *shakes head and smiles* Hey, it was a fun day. I love these oddball days when things aren’t what you expect. It’s such great drama.

The ride home wasn’t any fun. No more snow on the streets. No rain. *heavy sigh* Boring. Where’s the adventure? I grabbed supper at home and then took the car to Borders for my Monday night game. There were only four of us and we had a wonderfully intimate game with much more role-playing.

Now it is late and I must to bed, for I work again tomorrow. Did I mention only two more days until the sale is over? *wink*
