I’m beading! Yeah me!
Well, I’m writing this at the moment, but I’m just taking a break. I’ve been listening to music, feeling the cool breeze of a Eugene autumn day on my face and having a grand time alone with my fuzzy children and the beads… oh the wonderful, shiny beads. They own me! My precioussss!
Happy birthday to Mark! I wonder if you still read this LJ occasionally… if so, I’ll tell you of my dream this morning. I wrote that birthday email to you right before I headed to bed and before waking this morning you must have been on my mind because I dreamt that you were having a birthday party and I was invited so I hopped on a plane to celebrate with you. I landed in an airport that was full of deep, dark colors. Rich chocolate browns, dark grays, blacks, navy blues and dark plum. There was subdued lighting and not many windows. It must have been night as well because the glass was just dark and reflective. For some reason your birthday party was being held in this airport and the whole of it (and it was a large and complex airport) was filled with people who were celebrating for and with you. I was wandering for a long time searching for you. I hated to think I had come all this way and not be able to see you. I saw some very interesting people and scenarios, most of which I’ve forgotten by now, but I eventually caught a glimpse of you across a large room. You were heading down a hall into another corridor. I started to head in your direction. It took a while to catch up to you and when you finally turned around and noticed me, we started to make our way toward each other, then Aldina stomped on my head and gave me wet kisses. I love my little girl, but she always seems to decide it’s time for morning love at the apex of my dreams. Oh well, she owns me as well.
I have to take another break soon and run to the bike shop and buy an new set of fenders. My front fender disappeared some time during the summer and I’ve been enjoying the wonder of black mud streaking up my leg during my rainier commutes lately. Ah well, life in the verdant valley. After that, I’m going to stop by the bead store to see if someone in the beading circle tonight will teach me peyote stitch. I’ll make puppy-dog eyes and see how far that gets me. If there is time in-between, I may stop for a cuppa at Savouré.
