For Halloween, we extended an open invitation to a bunch of people to stop by and watch freaky movies and play Rob's X-box. We had about six people over during the course of the night. Very fun. We took a bunch of pictures with our digital camera and, much to our surprise, found them riddled with spirits. I suppose I shouldn't have been too shocked, it being Samhain, but I had never actually experienced spirits so closely before. I've been to many a haunted site, but I am not very in touch with the spirit realm and could feel nothing. I've seen the spirit pictures before, but never had it happen with our own camera in our own house. Very intriging. It would have been interesting to have a medium there just to let us know at the time it was happening. I wonder if they were trying to communicate with me and were terribly disappointed to have it fall on deaf ears. I guess I'll never know. Very intriging, though.

Friday was the Halloween party at Shannon's house. There were so many great people there that I haven't seen in a while. Always such fun to reconnect. The highlight of the even, though, is Fortune Cookie. I am honored to say that I am friends with the talented musicians/songwriters of this band. I could probably sit and rave about them for many paragraphs, and they justly deserve this, but I'm a little on the tired side. Suffice it to say, I'm one of their biggest fans and I love them all dearly. Especially that [livejournal.com profile] dreadygoddess who was wearing the most appealing shade of burgandy lipstick! *wink*

Unfortunately, George and I needed to leave the party early because we had our open house today. Up at six in the morning, 1 1/2 hour drive and then sit in an unheated house for 8 hours. Not very appealing, but very necessary. There was no heat, no water (which created a bathroom problem), and I didn't bring enough food for myself. By the time we got home, I was starving, frozen and tired from too little sleep the past few nights. I love my work.

We were supposed to go to another Halloween party tonight, but I'm still defrosting and filling my tummy. I really don't want to leave. It's a shame, really, because the people hosting this affair are quite lovely and I'd really like to spend more time with them. I should invite them to tea. [livejournal.com profile] naudiz has told me the November menu at Savoure is quite tasty looking. I look forward to my next tea sitting.

So, now I fully intend to cuddle up to my man on the warm, fuzzy pillow couch and watch one of the freaky movies we never actually watched on Halloween. Let's see, warm blanket, lots of pillows, cuddly man, two fuzzy dogs... check, check, check, and check. I'm all set.
