I finally was able to sleep after coming home from the corn maze. The maze wasn’t as good as last year. Though there were fewer people in line to gain entrance, the maze was laid out such that there were several bottlenecks that caused an incredible New York style subway congestion of people. Not so fun. Also, it wasn’t as scary. Last year we had a young lady with us that was really scared and our Great Australian Folk Hero and his Yes-Men took ample advantage of that.
Anyhow, a decent 6 hours of sleep was attained and I was able to actually perform at work Sunday. Sunday night we played High Low Jack with Rob – simply the best partners card game evahhhhhh – and Jamie called to tell us that we should be able to see the Aurora Borealis this evening at 3:30am due to solar flares. Well, the four of us played cards until 3 (I had to put on some serious 70’s dance music to keep me functioning at this hour) then we packed chairs and blankets in the car and went to Mt. Pisgah. We sat out in that parking lot for almost an hour waiting for the show. *sigh* No borealis. But, we did have a very stimulating conversation about the line of stars that dangles between the constellation Orion’s legs and what they could represent. *smirk* Silly boys. They now have found a healthy new respect for Orion’s godly member. I don’t know how I ever manage to sleep with such scintillating conversation, nevertheless, I began to doze, so we packed up and came home. I think I was snoring before I hit the pillow.
So, today is a short day as I woke so late. I must get on with my chores and responsibilities. I can’t wait to hit the bike, though. It’s gorgeous out there.

When are you coming over for a visit? What is your evening schedule like? I work most weekends until 6:30ish.
