I'm a bit behind in reading LJ and I'm not sure I'll have oodles of time before I leave, so please forgive if I'm missing anything important.

I spent my morning shuffling papers for the biz(s). I spent my afternoon pulling together the ingredients to help the puppies with their new door situation. I love my new sliding glass door. It's keeping us toasty warm. Sadly, I hadn't completely thought out the repercussions of having the doggie door part shift to the other side. This places it squarely under the elbow of our roof over the deck where, despite new gutters with leaf protection guards, the water just slaloms off the corner and splatters on the deck. Right in front of the doggie door. *sigh* I bought a tarp and some hooks and I stood out in the rain rigging a rain deflector to re-route the cataract further from the door and give the girls some protection. The results are not pretty. It stopped raining for the moment, so I can't see if it is effective. If so, I will cut the tarp down and try to make it better.

I had to take Gana back to the therapist. She was improving right up until Sunday when she looked painful again. She apparently torqued her vertebrae again. Same spot. I don't even know how. Did she feel so good she tried to jump off the couch? Did she slip on our non-carpeted floor and twist it? Did she trip going down the deck ramp we made for her? I just don't know. Part of me wants to put her on restricted movements, but how? Do I ace bandage her whole cervical/shoulder region? Gah. I tried to convince her to take it easy. She's stubborn and determined, though, and doesn't always listen to me. When she's in pain, I'm in pain. Come on, Gana! Work with me, please!

I've put most of my biz affairs in order and I plan to pack tonight for my little trip north. I'll be back Sunday night.
