I would appreciate comments, feedback, technical and marketing advice. What works, what doesn't work? What's confusing? How are the photos? That sort of thing. The shopping cart is functional, so click away and feel free to make purchases. Mostly, I'm looking for opinions, yet a sale would be a lovely gift.

I appreciate all feedback. I leave on Thursday for a wedding where I intend to pass out many business cards and I would definitely welcome their business. I'd like the site to be inviting, understandable and the pictures and words to make the jewelry desirable. Thank you for your help. Enjoy the site.

Oooh, lovely!
I suppose that if I have to ask for prices, I can't really afford it - but what sort of ranges are we talking?
Also , do you take Euros as well as US Dollars?

From: [identity profile] miladycarol.livejournal.com

Hmmmm.... I can see the prices clearly. I am going to assume you looked at the collections and didn't realize you need to click on the thumbnails to see the detailed pictures and descriptions. That is important. I've written an explanation on the pages now.

That's another good point about international purchases. I've addressed it in my FAQ page. I'm using PayPal, so everything should be fine for currency conversion through them. Shipping is also only free in the continental US.

Thank you so much for your input! I really appreciate it! I've been working on this so long I've become myopic to a lot of little details that should be obvious. It's my first website ever. *hugs*

So beautiful! I don't have much to add, but I did want to say I like that you've organized them by dominant color.

Thank you. I'm working with a nature theme, so grouping by color seemed appropriate.

Professional hazard.

I spotted a couple of typos on the front page. You've got complement (goes with) rather than compliment (you look nice) at the top. Also, handcraft is one word, not hyphen.

I'd suggest "class, elegance, radiant beauty and dazzle." Right now, too many "ands".

The photo looks cut off at the top, for some reason. Could you give it the same treatment on the bottom as on the top?

I could, if you'd like, go over all the text on the site for typos, if you'd like. I'm always happy to help, and I'll add - your stuff is beautiful!

Let me know - wyliekat at gmail dot com.

Re: Professional hazard.

I've fixed the typos you found -- I'm a great editor for everyone save myself -- and followed your suggestion about the conjunction disfunction.

The front page photo is cut off at both the top and bottom already. I was fooling around with it trying to find that sweet spot of balance. I guess that it's cut off at the bottom doesn't bother you as much because of the reflection treatment?

If you have the desire, I would be ecstatic to have you run through my site. I appreciate the help. I've been so focused on this site for so long that I am completely blind to the obvious at this point. Thank you sooo much! Your opinion is very valuable to me. *hugs*

Re: Professional hazard.

Do you have it in a word document format? If so, could you e-mail it to me? That way, I can go through it and highlight any proposed changes in tracking - that way, you can accept or reject at your discretion.

Re: Professional hazard.

Actually, no. I'm absolutely green at this web development thing. I typed it all directly into the iWeb program. G found me the simplest, most basic program to use so I didn't have to know any programming to make it. If it's too much trouble, don't worry about it. It is a work in progress and I plan to add more pages when I return and have time for more photo sessions. You are such a sweetheart to offer. *hugs*

Beautiful jewelry!

I like your layout - Have you considered offering to sell the pieces separately? I'm sure your target audience consists of folks who have more disposably income than I do, but you might be in a position to appeal to a broader audience if single pieces could be purchased.

Just an idea...

Thank you!

I have a whole additional bag of jewelry to photograph and put online. Most of the rest are single pieces: bracelets, earrings and necklaces all sold individually. They are less expensive that way. I was crunched for time putting this site together, so I just concentrated on the sets. I'll add pages of just earrings, etc. I will likely post on LJ when I do to let everyone know.

Thank you for your input. *hugs*

I checked out your jewelry site. Awesome! I didn't notice any errors or misspellings...I don't think there are any. I think you'll get a lot of business from this. Good luck!

Covet. covet. Drool. Have posted a "go see this" on my art site (stitchingwithashimmy.com). Want one. OK, want multiples. But I'd start with one. If it's still there when the budget is... look out world. :)

Awww! Thank you! I am honored by your opinion and your plug. I'm hoping I can catch a couple more sunny days here so I can photograph the rest of my stash and put them up, too. I have lots of earrings and some necklace only pieces that will be less expensive. *hugs*
