Yesterday afternoon was G's tv interview. He did a marvelous job. He mentioned his appreciation of both his Mom & Dad, so they'll be very pleased when they see it. You can view it at the link below.

Today is our final day in NYC. We began with dim sum in Chinatown with Kean and Matt. They are both bright and fun. I've enjoyed their presence immensely.
G and I are now exploring the south. We were in Chinatown, turned a corner, and now we're hip deep in Little Italy. Pretty cool. We passed through Little Italy and walked around some Jewish neighbourhoods where we bought a kosher pickle at Gus' Pickles, we saw several beautiful synagogues (from the outside) and we toured Katz's Delicatessen, a fixture since 1888 and setting for the orgasm scene in When Harry Met Sally. The menu was amazing with many types of knishes, knockwurst, bratwurst, knoblewurst and a few more wursts. They had cream soda on tap, pickle piles on every table and sandwiches so thick I'd have needed an unhinging jaw to eat. Sadly, G and I were both so full from our dim sum brunch we didn't eat again. It's past dinner and we're still not hungry. We couldn't even finish the little pickle we bought to share.
Next we walked through SoHo and Greenwich Village. This is the place all the writers spent time. Edgar Allen Poe was born here, Twain, Dylan Thomas... the names would fill this page. Now that I think about it, as I walked the streets, I was actually contemplating writing a book. Odd. I've not given writing a serious thought since I was a teen. I must have been channeling someone. I guess if I ever did feel like writing a book, I had better think about subletting a flat there for a while. Freaky, eh?
We walked through the Sesame Street like areas while singing the theme to that show and several other Muppet songs when we happened upon a big semi with Bert strapped into the passenger seat. G literally squealed with joy.

We walked back to our hotel on 32nd and 6th rather than take the subway. It's much more interesting topside.
Here are a couple of shots of our walk through Central Park the day before.
