I have been waiting for a particle collider since the 90's. Impatiently. I was rooting and cheering and sitting on the edge of my seat for that tease of a particle collider they started building last decade. It's been a long time coming. I believe it was in Arizona that they began and couldn't finish the collider, please correct me if my memory has lapsed. I was so excited to hear what happened and diligently read my Popular Science and Discover magazines every month to hear the latest reports.

[Remember, kids, when one had to wait for science digests to publish official papers to find out the latest in news and it wasn't instantly announced all over the Net and in Netcasts later that hour? No? Well, count your blessings, my dears. I know I count mine. Instant gratification rocks!]

I've always loved science. I don't have that mathematical brain required to actually be good at the technical aspect, yet I absolutely am fascinated with it. I have at least 3 regular science netcasts I listen to every week and I absolutely love them. I really appreciate how they filter all the tech down to essential knowledge points. It's like the Cliff Notes version of the science papers. I plan to sync my iPod later this morning and listen to the latest and see what is going on in Hadronville. So very exciting!
