My girls are home

The house was entirely too empty without them. No barks. No ticky feet on the floor.

Poor Gana has only 4 teeth left. She's in pain and groggy. They both are groggy. I'm going to cuddle them into sleep now.

My girls are the bravest. I had all I could do yesterday to hold back the tears. I love them soooo much. I could barely pay attention to what the nurse was instructing me to do for aftercare because they both were crying and wanting my attention when I went to pick them up. Bravest girls every. To see Gana walking around with her tail dragging on the ground broke my heart. Today, the tail is at half curl. This is a good thing.

Awwww, poor little teefs. :(

My parents' chow mix had 8 teeth removed last year, they were all cracked. She's a lot happier without them, but still. Eight teeth from my fursis. :(

Will the girls lick/eat crushed ice? Might help if there's still pain today.

I have some pain meds for the next 3 days for them plus antibiotics for today and tomorrow morning. They are very brave girls and I'm taking special care to make all their treats very gooshy and swallowable rather than chewable. They are so tiny, I'm not sure if ice will be too cold for their bodies. My house is pretty cool as it is, being all shady. I caught both of them on the pillow trap I laid out in the sun spot on the deck.

I know Gana will be happier without the bad teeth, yet I'm sad that her genetics and my haphazard tooth care for them led to this. No one as special as my girls should have to suffer. Ever.

I could be biased, though.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll keep it in mind. They are getting lots of love and cuddles today. Even more than usual.
