Yesterday, [livejournal.com profile] lurkitty presented me with a Certificate of Cat-Herding. I am, according to her, allowed to claim Cat-Herder on my resumé, regardless of the fact that it was an unsuccessful event.

I drove up to Lurkitty's house yesterday, we filled up my Subaru with TV, plants, and all manner of stuff to take to her new abode -- hey, [livejournal.com profile] lurkitty, do you have a name yet for your new domicile -- that night. She decided to pack the two cats and all their equipment into her car and take them to the new place. It was a sheer comedy of near misses, grabs of a young gentlecat that seemed to dematerialize every time I thought I had him and, ultimately, failure. This is her newest adoptee, Tikka. We ended up leaving them both as Tikka was so thoroughly spooked he had squeezed himself into a tiny space under a dresser and we couldn't find him for over an hour.

Honestly, I didn't feel I should accept that title as it was unsuccessful. In the end, I am intensely grateful for my sweet little girls who jump into the car of their own accord, even when they know they are going to the vet. So easy.

Successful or not, welcome to the rank of Cat Herders. You are among a chosen elite. Brreeeoowww! Congratulations. :)

Successful cat herders graduate to the ranks of Cat Wrangling.

My two little loves are nestled under the guest bed sulking because they had to be in separate carriers for a whole hour! I managed to catch Tikka this afternoon, and Aramis went in without a protest.

I am immensely grateful for all your help.

Oh, and I have not found a suitable name. Lurkitty Corral?
