I'm home.

We tore up the highway to make it home last night. I don't know what it is about trips that cause me to want to be home immediately after we are done doing what we set out to do, yet there it is. So, we are home.

I have tidied the kitchen and watered my plants, cooked breakfast, dealt with the small forest of dead tree products my kind postal worker left for us, and I'm on my third load of laundry. Next, I must manicure the lawn. I witnessed poor Morgana have to trample a spot on the grass so she could squat to pee this morning.

So, I'm safely home. I'll spend the next couple of days on house, business and yard, then I'm off to Washington for Jeremy's services.

I'm the same way with trips. Even if I've genuinely enjoyed wherever I was, I get incredibly anxious to get that last leg of the journey out of the way.
