This morning, a real, live cowboy -- complete with hat and mud on his boots and jeans -- sat beside me for breakfast. He looked 100% like the genuine Montana rural image I have seen in books. It was only as he rose to leave, donned his worn leather jacket, then answered his mobile phone that the nostalgia was shattered.

The area around Glacier National Park is barely showing the effects of spring. It's too early for holiday season. Many attractions and restaurants are due to open at the end of May while most roads in the Park aren't open yet, either. We had to park and walk miles up the road to reach some of the hiking trails which were largely icy, snowy and muddy (which was a large dose of awesome in and of itself). We lunched on a footbridge spanning a wild white rapid river. I even had a chance to sketch in my little book while we munched in companionable silence. After all, what would be the point of trying to talk over that beautiful roaring ruckus? Pictures are sure to follow once transferred from the cameras.

I might find a cowboy complete with mud and hard work a leedle too sexy for comfort. ;-}

Somehow, I managed to focus my attention elsewhere. *smiles* I'm sure he wouldn't want some city slicker from a coastal state or two fawning over his rustic-ness whilst trying to nourish himself. *grin* Besides, there is precious little reason for my gaze to wander when my husband sits before me in all his manly splendor. Whither would I go to surmount such perfection? *blink blink*

*pause*

*giggles a bit, clears throat and appears grave*

Is it a bit apparent that I have recently sought solace in some Shakespearian sonnets? Methinks the verbiage doth effect me muchly.

Lol - a very delicate way to point out how virtuous a wife thou art. ;-}

*sniggles* I hath never been deemed a shrew... though a bit of taming was necessary. *wink*

You deserve to witness all the beauty in the world. The beauty in the world deserves to be drawn by one who can channel its likeness with justice. You are an amazing gift in this world....and I cannot wait to bask in the glory of your presence soon...When are you coming home?

I have a loose plan. The services are to be on the 17th, so I'm crafting the rest of this trip around that. Our last night here is tonight, so we are driving further south to meet our other business partner at his cabin in southern Idaho on Saturday. We'll likely stay a night or two there, then drive home. My goal is to have a night or two at home to do laundry and freshen my clothes and myself before I head up to Washington for the services. I will stay there as long as I am of service to those who may need me. I'll let you know what days I am home between so we might have coffee together or a dinner out... I see no reason to go grocery shopping for only one or two nights at home.

Plus... I have pictures to share with you.

Sounds beautiful. You realize you are in my home state, don't you? :)

Actually, no, I didn't. There is so much to learn about you. I look forward to many years of many hours of wonderful connection where more will be revealed.

Had I known while there, I'd have definitely given your regards and thanks for your coming into being. What part of Montana?

I'm from south central Montana...a small town called Belfry and then I went to college in Bozeman.

I never quite made it to Bozeman, though it's on my list. I was very motivated to make it home, so I didn't veer off path to go there this time. I have dreamed of spending a full day in The Museum of the Rockies since the late 70's. I want to pay homage to one of the premier paleontological museums in the U.S.

What did you go to college for, if I may ask?

Regrettably Film and TV Production...never did use the degree, and now the technology is outdated. I didn't address what you said before. I can't wait to get to know you as well :). Also...The Museum of the Rockies is amazing. Would love to see your face when you see it. Perhaps someday we will meet up there :)

I know I'll return as our business partner and friend has a cabin near West Yellowstone. He invited us back for spring. Then I'll take the time to go to Bozeman and see the geyser. This trip, I was feeling too worn and needing to recharge to give up an extra day or two to see either of them. When I see them, I'd like to be present and I was feeling very pre-occupied.

You probably don't want to be around me when I go to the Museum of the Rockies. I'm a complete paleontology nerd. My first words were (almost literally) Mommy, Daddy, Grammy and Brontosaurus. I will spin off into ecstasies of science. There is the risk of a random singularity that may just off-balance the Universe. Plus, I'm not properly educated yet that doesn't stop me from talking. I may just jump onto the displays and start rubbing myself against the bones in utter joy. You have been warned. *grins*
