Our intended Saturday afternoon meeting in Vancouver didn't happen so we just headed home. We arrived very early this morning to the happy tune of puppy chastisements and lovin'. We slept well in our own bed and I woke to a queue of puppies standing on my body to give me kisses and urge me to rise and join them in the kitchen for treats. I persuaded them to cuddle for a little longer before we began the day in earnest. Puppy cuddles -- I can't recommend them highly enough.

I cleaned and scrubbed the kitchen, worked my way through the piles of mail on the table, unpacked, tidied the dining room, dealt with recycling bins, watered the plants and various other things before I made breakfast. I have done everything but shower as I was contemplating a stroll around the backyard with the mower a little later -- if the lawn dries. Between the time I dressed in my sweats and the time of this missive, it has sprinkled and hailed. I don't know if I hold forth much faith the lawn will be ready for me today. We'll see.

We left Whistler Friday morning in a mini snow storm. The snow followed us all the way into Vancouver. Saturday morning was sunny and cold and, as we headed further south, the snow continued to follow us. It seems we arrived in Vancouver and Whistler bringing the sun and warmth we had been experiencing when we left Eugene. We left Whistler bringing the snow and cold from there. I might now be a traveling weather fairy. Who knew?

Outside of more tidying, some possible lawn maintenance (I hope) and some grocery shopping, I'm free and clear this afternoon. Given 30 minutes notice, I can even be showered, dressed and as presentable as I ever am for gatherings. I'm excited to see my peeps. Give me a ring!

If you're going to be up late, I'm going to see Jason Webley at the WOW Hall tonight; you're certainly welcome to come along.

"Eleven Saints" is the only song I actually know of his, so the show will be all new to me.

I listened to some of his You Tube stuff. He sounds cool, yet I think I'll be curled up with the family by then. I'm so not nocturnal. *sigh*
