We made it to San Francisco last night... though that wasn't the original plan. We intended to spend the evening in Ashland with a friend, but she wasn't in town. We ate dinner there then decided to forge ahead. We ended up just driving straight through.
We hadn't booked the hotel for last night, so the only room they had available was double twin beds. We tried squishing into one of the twins together, but it truly wasn't conducive to a good night's sleep. We'll be in a proper sized bed tonight.
We've had a completely lovely day. We began with dim sum for brunch... always a great start to the day. We walked hand in hand through parts of the city in the warm sun and cool breeze. People randomly wished us a happy Valentine's day. We giggled because what they don't know is that it's also our anniversary. Tee hee.
We spent part of the afternoon in a café sipping coffee and playing a board game. Now we are checking email, etc.
Our next big decision: What to eat for dinner. *grin*

I left the house at 8AM today for a doctor's appointment. As I drove by, I noticed that someone had left a bouquet of roses on the hood of a neighbor's car. When I went to pick up my prescriptions at Costco around lunch, I saw several men eating at the snack bar there, each one with a bouquet ot gift box beside them. It seemed like everyone was happy and smiling today because of your anniversary!
