It just occurred to me, as I re-schedule yet another appointment, that I've had a week of jilting, thus far.

I had a Monday afternoon appointment that was supposed to call and confirm for some time around 1-2pm. I stayed downtown at a café for hours waiting for that call so I could conveniently walk over to her office. Nothing. I called Monday, no return call. I just called and made a solid appointment for tomorrow.

I had a Tuesday afternoon appointment. I showed up, she didn't. That is re-scheduled for Friday.

I also had an appointment for early this morning that I didn't know had been canceled until I was already up and dressed. That has yet to be re-scheduled.

I feel like the bride at the altar. Alone. Where's the love for MiLady? Or, is there love, but just not this week?

Proclamation of the Universe: I love you dearly, MiLady, except for random days in the month of February and the 49th week of each year.

*boggles*

Here's hoping the rest of my week's appointments pan out alright.

I hate it when people are inconsiderate and do not call to cancel, or show up when they say they will. Hope you have better luck the rest of the week.

Yeah, I'm usually pretty tolerant. It doesn't happen very often. Yet, today, being the third day of cancels in a row, I was a little less than tolerant. It's all what is meant to be, I guess.

Yesterday's cancel was at least notable. She had been suffering from a back injury since the previous week. She had a two hour lunch so she went home to lie down with ice and heat and fell asleep. I have actually had stuff like that happen to me. I know better than to go home between things or to take a nap. Galaxies have been known to wink out of existence when I do stuff like that. *grin*

I did actually intend to let you know as soon as I found out, but the confirmation came just as I was heading out the door, and I wasn't back until... well, the very moment I got home I responded to your email. It was just rotten timing all around.

I don't have to get a needle in my spine to hang out with you though. We could just, you know, do lunch or something. I'd like that.

I understand. Thanks for explaining. I was just a little put out because I've had a whole week of not accomplishing meetings and not for lack of trying. I'd rather see you have another eye exam before that procedure, anyway.

I've been waiting on you to tell me when you're on a day schedule so we can have time together. You know I love you dearly and would be happy to sit with you. I really miss those weekly Savouré events we had. It was nice to know we had a regular gig together.

I think that's what I love best about having a small game on a fairly regular basis. I'd love to have Pjack run a little game of 4-6 people once a month or something so we could have a convenient excuse to sit and be social. G and I both want to experience more of those neat indie games he finds. Plus, I'm a sucker for abuse. *grin*

We could put G and the boy together in a room and watch them have indie-gasms. I'm... pretty sure that's illegal in most states.
