As always, Orycon was wonderful. Honestly, I don't even bother with many panels these days. It's purely a social occasion. It's a time to hang with distant friends, meet new friends and gather many of the people I care for most in a close space and revel in their presence. It's glorious. It really is. It's medicine to my soul. If I think about it, I actually become a bit light-headed with the love I feel. I walk on air for weeks afterward.

Seriously, there needs to be one of these massive conventions at least quarterly. I must conspire to make this come true. *ponders*

It took me an extra day to return because we stopped overnight at Brad & Sarah's in Hillsboro. I love seeing them. Our time together is all too fleeting. It was especially so since I think I fell asleep before the moon even rose. It was a lovely 10 hour hibernation, which was very helpful considering I slept maybe 5-6 hours over the previous two nights. *blush*

Thank you to everyone who friended me while I was still off romping around the state. You have been friended in return and I look forward to great conversations, pithy retorts and all the loving abuse my friends tend to heap upon me. I'm truly blessed. *cheesy grin*

[livejournal.com profile] joyinthedark introduced to me (in concept) this amazing person, Mata Amritananda, at the con during a conversation. I now have a new goal. I consider her my new competition role model. Here is her actual site. I am but a small shadow of this woman's hugging work. I have lots of hugs in me, I just need to get out there more, eh?

Okay, I'm off to walk to the library, to do a bit of grocery shopping and then make us some food.

Peace.

You simply should as soon as you can! I can't say enough good things about it.

Remember when we went to see Bhagavan Das? We sang a couple of songs praising Amma. There were pictures of her there.

She is apparently coming here soon. I want to go see her. THere is a lovely film about her.

Yes - it was a great and relaxing Con.

Honestly, no, I don't remember singing anything. The words exist only as sounds, not words, when I don't understand them.

I'd like to see her if she comes locally. Please keep me abreast.
