MiLady fall down. Go boom.
Nothing more than a couple of scrapes and a wee bit of blood. Good to know it still runs red. I was trying to mount my bike (a boy's bike) with a backpack laden with Kiva groceries and a tall roll of wrapping paper poking like a flagpole out the top. I ran 3 errands and in all those stops I managed to mount and dismount the bike with the roll of wrapping paper flawlessly. I have fairly good ROM and it wasn't a problem until I had off-balanced the pack with the groceries. I didn't compensate for the added weight and the bike tipped out from under me with my legs at 6pm and 2pm. So much grace, eh!
My knight in shining armour came to aid me faster than I could have hoped. Before I was even on the ground he was there pulling the bike out from, well, between me. He also grabbed my elbow and helped scoop up my pack. I can't believe how quickly he was there. He asked a couple of times if I was okay and required more help (even though he was already helping -- isn't that adorable?) and then scolded me for not asking his help mounting my bike when he was standing just 2 meters away from me. Scolded! In a wonderfully caring way! And the best part? He was very young, tattooed, mohawked and not at all wearing a superhero cape. Such kindness and speed in such a wonderful package! And I have the feeling he would have carried me a block over to the Urgent Care unit if it had been warranted. I'm not surprised, but I am honoured. I'm absolutely thrilled that someone so chivalrous just happened to be standing right there ready to help me in my graceless tangle.
Who'dah thunk it? That falling off my bike could have made my afternoon? *throws head back and laughs* I guess that's just another flavour of my particular insanity!

I had an experience on a train in Japan. I sat down when there were plenty of seats available. An elderly woman came onto the train and all the seats were filled. I purposefully waited a few seconds to see if any of the young Japanese would give her their seat, but they didn't. I'm the only one that stood and motioned she should sit next to G. The foreigner. The American. The chubby Caucasian. She looked so grateful.

I think this is way it makes me really hostile when the adults come down on them for how they look instead of getting to know them.
I'm glad you drew a sweetie though.
