I spent Friday at DaVinci Days with G and
lurkitty. We saw Pink Martini and there was much dancing in the mist. *smiles*
Saturday, Lurkitty and I went to a vocal exercise thingy then retired home to play two games of Carcassonne... our deathmatch shall come!
Sunday, we drove back to DaVinci Days to watch the kinetic vehicles slog through mud. Then there was a kirtan.
Today, Lily came over and bonded with Lurkitty while I made the kitchen, livingroom and lavette's surfaces sparkle.
Tonight, I had a wonderful time in D&D and Zach gave me his Harry Potter book to read. He's so sweet. Well, he was sweet right up until the moment he told me if I didn't quit bugging him he'd tell me who was the first to die. *sneer*
So, tonight, I'm faced with the dilemma of which book to read. I'm half way through my library historical fiction set in 16th century Venice. I have the Deathly Hallows in my hand. And the library called and told my the book I had put on reserve was in early and waiting for me.
ACK!
And I have to work... if only I could just stay up all night reading. *sigh* Responsibility sucks sometimes.

I need to make a basket of bridal goodies for a friend's shower Friday evening. Do you want to be a part of the shopping today?

When?

I am finishing some work. Then I shall shower and head out. Probably, I shall begin my shopping around 1pmish.

I'll call you when she leaves. I have visions of a Yumm bowl and looking for a Hanuman murti.

Still, give me a ring. I'll be out and about somewhere. Besides, we can always meet at Borders. I usually stop at Bed Bath and Beyond and use those coupons for something or another. We could have Yumm together later.

What a dilemma. Me personally, I'd go for HP7 (and did!)

I was very irritated with all the folks on LJ who said they just devoured the book and posted spoilers. I felt like no one in the world had any responsibilities...let their homes go to ruin while they read.
Ben of course pointed out that I didn't need to clean the house on Sunday. I countered by saying that the toilet won't scrub itself. Sometimes I think others are not as committed or serious to living in an organized and tidy fashion.

My big plan... I'd like to spend a bit of time on the deck with my feet up and a pot of tea reading my book. I have a busy schedule, so I have to fit in my reading. Plus, I'll be away for a week on business and I hate to take anyone else's book with me on the road. There are too many chances of damaging it. So, Potter may have to wait for me until mid August. Honestly, I waited almost two years to read book 6. And, so far, everyone has been really great about keeping their discussions under cuts and away from my ears.
Right now, I'm going to make lunch. While pots are waiting to boil and veggies are simmering, I'll have my book open on the counter to swallow a few more paragraphs as I go. It's a really enjoyable book, "In the Company of the Courtesan" by Sarah Dunant.
*hugs*
