I love to read the Harry Potter series. It's been a great ride. I'm also looking forward to the last installment. Like everyone, I want it to be a total surprise as I'm reading the book, so I'm going to beg people not to post spoilers unless they are under a cut and clearly marked. Almost everyone respects this, but the last book was partially spoiled for me because I accidentally read a post.

Granted, it took me almost 1.5 years after release to read book 6.

I collect the books in British publication soft cover. They aren't put on the shelves for a year after original publication date and then I have to wait until I'm in Sydney to buy them. Unless someone wants to lend me their book when they are done reading it, I won't be reading it for a while -- the library just isn't an option for about a year, either. I've tried.

Thank you for your consideration.

see also Amazon.com.uk which ships to US addresses. Might save you a year long wait. ;)

That would ship the the UK version to my house, yes, but the publishers do not print the soft cover versions in any country for 1 year. This has been consistent and is what the stores and websites say is protocol for hard cover lead time.

i will try but i do have brain injury adn i dont know if i will be able to remember to not post anything for a year.

but if your house is mcs safe you could borrow my american copy after it gets here.

or if you want to read it now there are scans online. that is how i am reading it so that i dont get sick from the new books (i get sick from the inks and glues so they have to outgas a few weeks before i can read new books)

There are scans online? That's cool.

I'm optimistic that one of my local friends who plan to read the book in the first week will lend me their copies before too long. Thank you, though.

What are mcs?

mcs is multiple chemical sensativity. that is why i have to stay at home most of the time, cause so many things make me scary sick or have seizures, cause my body got broken by pesticide and solvent exposure.
