All the things that help

There is no great answer to our difficulties as humans. There always have been difficulties, there always will be. As individuals, I've discovered that we're all at least a little broken. It's not just any one of us, it's part of the human condition. There is no perfect cure, but there are some wonderful salves and treatments that help a lot.

I know we are all experiencing our [more than] fair share of pain. I read about it. I feel it. I am experiencing it. I think about us all and wish us the best. I send as much healing energy as I am able into this world. I send it with great love and honesty. My great wish is that it is effective.

This morning was filled with the ramifications of some poor choices in the past, great lumpy waterfalls of fear and other assorted weirdness and discomfort. This afternoon, I took solace at the mountain. I feel better. I shall now wash the dirt of the morning and the dust of the afternoon from my body and emerge renewed. If only all of life were so simple for all of us.

I'm learning that I'm the one that makes things more difficult for myself by not taking the time I need for me. When I go to the mountain, I gain perspective and distance from my troubles. They are still there when I return, but they just don't seem as big and ugly. For me, the mountain helps.

I am learning to become more simple. This may take me decades, but I'm on my path.
