Today, Sister Pisgah gifted me with great beauty and wonder, as she always does. I was buzzed by a deeply black-winged dragonfly with an irridescent aqua body, I had brief (though one-sided) conversation with a passing doe, made eye contact with a chipmunk before it dashed into the blackberries and I skirted a meter long snake that was crossing the path. Not a bad body count for the day, eh? *grins* And those were the ones I actually saw. I never count the rustling of the bushes and grasses as I pass.

Also, I engaged in a guided breathing meditation on my descent. It was wonderful. I shall have to do that again. I'm beginning to feel a lot better about the near future.

That is so neat! Why do I picture you like Snow White singing to a bird on your finger with all the creatures of the wood gathered around? You're so cute.

Goodness! I have no idea why you'd picture that. I assure you, I'm not Dr. Doolittle's niece twice removed. It's not like the little critters vie for positions near me, we simply agree to share the space in a non-threatening way. But thank you for the image. It made me giggle. *hugs*

Oh, and were I to begin singing to the little forest creatures, surely they would run quickly away from me. Not much with the singing, am I. *weak smile*
