I had a wonderful time watching kids play baseball, the mini hikes, and general "I'm soooo not working and I love this weekend of shirking all my looming responsibilities" attitude.

I need to return. Soon. There are trails to be hiked, more restaurants to be explored and some crafty-type shops that seem to always have closed 8 minutes before I show up at their doors.

I managed to remember a couple of my dreams, too. One was of me dealing with disappointment and complications with DingoDaddy.com... could I please STOP dreaming of the things I'm trying to take some time away from, please???

The other dream involved G moving modular components of the kitchen into odd and non-ergonomic positions. "Just try it out for a bit," he coaxed. I did. Chaos and frustration insued while I tried to explain why the oven door handle being in the way of opening the fridge door just WASN'T going to work long-term.

Why must people move my furniture in my dreams? *sigh*

There's lots to tell, but my eyes are burning and tired, so I'm off to bed. Tomorrow I plan to make up for the lack of hiking with a nice jaunt up Pisgah. Then I think we'll play some games in the park with friends.

Re: that happens in my dreams, too

I wonder what that means? It's never malicious, it's always inconvenient and frustrating in my dreams. It's happened once before and I rolled over in the morning and stated, quite frankly, to G, "Please don't ever think tossing the bedroom furniture and moving the living room into our bedroom would ever be a good idea."

G: *blink blink*
G: *defensively* What?!? What'd I do?
Me: Oh, your dream you knows exactly what you did. Don't try to deny it. *playful frown*

I explained my dream. He laughed. Later that day, he told Flex (our housemate) and immediately, the two of them defended their dream selves and it turned into an RL episode.

I can't win. *slump*

Seems fairly obvious to me... a rather direct metaphor for people in your life making plans and changes with the best of intentions, but which inconvenience you and/or don't really work.

I hear you on the DingoDaddy thing too. There were a couple of times, back when I was living with and taking care of my father, when my subconscious was equally unsubtle.

Well, it seems obvious AFTER you've said it, anyhow. *grins* I'm probably way to close to my own problems to see these things clearly. Thank you. *hug*
