... for Mom's first Mother's Day in Oregon. We haven't had a Mother's Day together in 11 years.

I knitted her 3 doilies in her favourite colours and wrapped them in teddy bear paper.

I bought her a new high power shredder (she's been lamenting the slow death of her old one).

I just finished making her card. This is the front which I painted in Photoshop. Inside is a cloudy paper with an old proverb about mothers.

She'll be coming over at noon tomorrow. I plan to wake early and procure freshly baked French bread and eggs which I shall turn into French toast. There will be tea, coffee, fresh fruit and puppy dogs. If it's nice, we will take her to walk around Hendrick's Park to see the flowers.

I really hope things go well for her.

I really, really, really, really, really hope everything goes well tomorrow.

The card is beautiful.

Thank you. Me too.

I was inspired by all the wild irises at Mt. Pisgah.

It's absolutely lovely, and I hope the day was good for both you and her.

It was mostly good. Right up until the end. I guess that's still almost perfect, right? *smiles*
