Yup. Since I picked peaches yesterday, this morning has been spent blanching and slicing. I've peeled all my little peaches and they sit in bowl awaiting their tasty, tasty doom! Project the first... peach pancakes. Later this afternoon, there will be pie. Oh, yes, there will be pie. I shall be making both a gluten free and a slightly glutened variety, so there is pie for all tastes. If locals are trying to contact me today, phone is best as I shall be slaving over my naked little peaches much of the day. I shall certainly have to ask for volunteers helping us eat all this, too. Don't be shy.

I'm sure there will be some on Wednesday... well, there will be if I make another trip for some more peaches. I used more than half in that one pie tonight, and half of it is gone. But, it made a lovely desert after the barbeque tonight.

Really? I guess I have had this really great pie crust recipe for so long, nothing is beyond being chucked in a pie for me. Sometimes, I have to be a bit creative, like when I run out of one fruit and have to blend. *smiles* All summer, I bake fruit pies, all winter, I bake savoury pies. It's all good.
