Sorry for the down time. G and I went away for a spirit-of-the-moment holiday in the Blue Mountains. We returned to find our broadband modem had been delivered, so now I'm online again.

Allow me to assure everyone who is reading news of race riots that we are fine. Honestly, I haven't even heard of the problem down here. I think US news is far more sensationalist.

Also, we have until the 16th of January until my fertility treatment begins in earnest. After that, I'll be under the influence of a lot of chemicals and there will be lots of tests during the following weeks. We won't be able to go anywhere or do anything other than day trips and maybe a short weekend excursion. If we want to see Australia, this is our opportunity. So, we'll be leaving either Sunday or Monday to work our way up the coast into Queensland. Unfortunately, we'll be doing so during everyone in Australia's holiday season. Ah well, my cycle is what it is and if I want to return home for the US any time in the first half of 2006, I need to do this now.

I will be posting the events of this weekend this morning, so you'll see a bunch of posts from me and then there will be LJ-silence for a time. I'll bring you all up to date as soon as possible.

Having said that, I'd like to wish everyone happy holidays, healthy days, filled with peace and love. I love you all and you travel with me wherever I am. Well, maybe not the shower. No one needs to see me before I'm human in the morning. *grins*

Actually, I'm the most anti-chemical person around. They don't like me and I'm scared of them far more than anything else in the process. If only we could have done this naturally, but, alas, it wasn't meant to be. If I survive the fertilty treatment, the pregnancy should be a breeze.
