Tuesday night I received some great news in the mail. I was approved for continuation of my Medicare benefits by the Immigration Department. That means they are still considering me as an applicant for Permanent Residency. I feel much better about gathering all the info together to send off for them, now. I also am financially relieved as much of our IVF treatment will now be covered by Medicare. It's going to be so much less expensive. That's wonderful news. I thank the Universe and everyone's good wishes.

Tuesday during the day, we finally experienced Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. My, how they've grown! I assume I'm the absolute last person to see it, but I won't give any spoilers by saying it was a wonderful time in a very air conditioned movie theatre with comfy seats with cool characters.

I was going to try to reread the book before seeing the movie, but the local library has closed because they are moving to a new building. I'm rather bummed. Hopefully, they'll be open soon. I still have a metric ton of books here, though. I'll likely not finish them all before I return home, but hey, I'm not in any rush.

With all our wacky scheduling and unsurity about when our next appointments will be for the IVF, we haven't been able to explore and take little vacations yet. G is frustrated and expressed this mood by grabbing my shoulders this morning and shaking me after reading the travel section of the weekend paper. (Obviously, this wasn't violent, merely playful, but I understood his point.) If we're going to go diving, we'll have to do it before I'm pregnant. On Friday, the 16th, we should have a better notion of our IVF schedule.

The other frustration is that I left my PADI dive license in my file cabinet drawer at home. Gah! I'll have to stop at the local dive shop and ask what they do in such situations. I don't know that PADI has a database. I may just have to be re-certified. Ah well. I could use the experience. I haven't gone diving since 1996ish. It's fair to say I'd need a refresher course, anyhow.
