Yesterday was great! I left the house at 1:30 and walked to my physical therapy appointment, then I ran all my errands on foot. This took me all the way to campus, back over to Charnelton and 5th and many points in between. I then stalled for time until my 6pm monthly meeting at work by continuing to walk. When I arrived at work at around 5:30, they said they had postponed the meeting until next week. I stood around chatting for a while, then I walked home. That was five hours of constantly being on my feet. Yay me!
The physical therapist also gave me the green light to advance to the next stage in my knee activity, so I’m thrilled. I had a squee moment when she told me. *big, juicy grin* This is all very exciting to me. It has been 7.5 weeks since the fall. That’s 7.5 weeks of sitting on my plump, round arse. I’m excited to put some muscle back onto my legs.
In other news, Orycon happens this weekend. We’ll see how it flows in the new location. I hear they are really strict on how many people are allowed to squeeze into a room, so we’ll all have to be flexible. Our usual modus operandi is to pack as many people in as possible, even if this means shifting some of the furniture out on the lanai. But I’m very excited about this last hurrah before leaving home for so long.
By the way, do we have a head count on how many people are coming to Orycon and wish to crash in my room? Just curious.
Okay, I must start my day. I have ten tons of things to accomplish before the day is through and I want to enjoy every minute of them.

Oh, and I'm glad you're managing to walk to places. I find walking places is much more fun.

I'd bring a pillow and sleeping bag with you. The hotel isn't hospitable to people crashing in rooms without pay, so we'll not be able to ask for extra blankets and pillows. It'll be interesting to see how this all works.
