Happy Groundhog Day! Hey, I didn’t hear any news here in AU… did the little fellow see his shadow? Will I be arriving back for spring or winter? I'll be flying home on the 12th of February.
Today we went to meet two new RPGers in Bankstown. On the way, we caught the tail end of a Chinese Lion Dance. No fireworks, though. I think the entirety of Sydney has a ban on fireworks of any kind due to the amount of bush fires we’ve had here this year.
The two men were very nice. We started a D&D campaign that is promising. The GM’s name is Ian and he lives on Merideth St. (I thought that might be of interest to a certain Ian I know and his beautiful Mother!) Ian started off with us in a little coastal community as 1st level characters and he gave us a local mystery to solve. I like that. I’ve been a mystery freak since I started reading Nancy Drew in the 2nd or 3rd grade. We have a rogue, George is playing a monk, and guess what I’m playing? I betcha it’ll come as a huge surprise… a cleric! I can’t seem to get away from healers. I’ve even started games playing something else completely with no intention of ever healing anyone, and the GM slapped me with a “gift” that turned out to be healing. *sigh* Well, I figure if I can’t beat them, then I might as well start out the campaign knowing and properly planning for being a cleric. At least I’ll have all my feats and skills in order. I am resigned.
Keith, the other gent in our party, had to leave early so we all disbanded and George and I went to Cabrita to check out the area. Nice place, but way expensive. Then we came home. We rented Eyes Wide Shut, so we have big couch potato plans for the evening. Belinda won’t let us watch it downstairs, so we’re on our own with this one. The last thriller we rented, What Lies Beneath, had her screaming and jumping off the couch even though she had seen it once before. *evil chuckle*

Re: ????
I am so appreciative of Ian's energy, I honour every effort on my behalf.
We'll be home for 3 very short and very busy months. Then, back to Australia for I don't know how long.
Must to bed I go. Sleepy. *cuddling up to keyboard and wishing it were you*
