My camping plans for this weekend fell apart. *sigh* I guess that opens the weekend for me, though. Tomorrow, we’ll be going to the Shrewsbury Renaissance Faire. We’re going to meet some people there at 1pm. I haven’t been able to attend for a few years, so it will be fun to dress in garb and frolic. Since we have to pass through Corvallis, I was thinking of stopping there for dinner on the return trip. I may even have something to go on the way up for lunch from Nearly Normals. Since my boys are all about the meat, I doubt they’d want to sit for a meal. *sigh* I’d love to experience the two tea salons up there, but they are both closed on Sundays.

Today, I’m not so sure what will happen. I suspect we’ll go for a bit of a walk and then maybe lunch at Saturday Market. Maybe I’ll bring G to tea with me this afternoon and prod the staff for information on why the owner is closing the salon section of her business.

Tonight, I suspect G wants to see Mr. and Mrs. Smith at the movies.

If anyone has other suggestions for my time today or tomorrow evening, I’m listening.

Yeah, well, you've got to be careful about those Ren-faire type activites anyway. You could be attacked by zombies.

I couldn't see the link without downloading some plug-in, but I think I know to what you refer. I remember reading an article of zombies attacking Scadians somewhere in Pennsylvania or something.

I hate to update or download anything these days since I still have that virus lurking in my recycle bin that I can't completely delete. I didn't even download anything to attract a virus, so I'm scared. *quivers in fear of cyber cooties*

I loved Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Very funny little romantic comedy.

G would rather stay in tonight. I think I'll be cooking instead. Ah well.

I have to rush out the door right now -- but I will try and catch up with you tomorrow -- if I can get T to go to Shrewsberry or may Normal's or something?
More later....

I would love to see you. Hopefully, we can make the times work. What time does Normals open and close? I can't find their hours online. Tell me what works for you.

Hmmm...looks like Nearly's is closed on Sunday *sigh*

There is another restaurant called Intaba's that has good veggie and responsible non-veggie cuisine. It's right beside First Alternative Coop. Hours are 10-2 Brunch and 5-9 dinner.

5ish would be good for us for dinner. We are thinking about Shrewsbury, too.

So I talked to my family and they'd love to meet for dinner at Intaba's. We're just not sure how this will work time-wise, but between 5 and 5:30 would be excellent. I thank you for the web site as I now have directions. There will be three of us, two carnivores and a veggivore. *smiles* I'm very excited to meet you! Yay!

I don't have a cell phone. If you do go to Shrewsbury, I'm 5'2", portly, dark brown hair and eyes, incredibly caucasian. I'll be wearing my hair up, a royal purple chemise with black hemp skirt and black suade-cloth bodice, a rainbow moonstone and amethyst necklace. My spouse is Chinese and my roommate is tall, very Nordic looking, shaved head, reddish-blonde moustache. He'll be wearing black pants, gray top, black belt with white stripe. Good luck finding us!

Between 5 and 5:30 it is, then! Splendid!
I shall be the portly, dark brown haired 5'2 lady in brown striped turkish with white pants and a purple turban. My spouse is 5'10, short salt and pepper hair wearing his light periwinkle shaman's garb with a rat on his shoulder.

I'm so glad to have met you both, even if I didn't meet the rat. *snark* Do you like tea? We'll have to have a tea party at one of the Corvallis tea salons. Our salon here will be closing at the end of September. *pout*

Yes, tea would be splendid! Perhaps to celebrate the return of the wandering [livejournal.com profile] altrus.

I love Normals! I haven't been there in years, but have been thinking about the establishment much over the last year or so. Perhaps I will have to get off my *** and venture northward to the core of the valley!!
