RIP salon tea.

I’m on my way to bed… honestly. I just paused on route to read my email and I discovered that one of my favourite local haunts is changing. Savouré, the tea salon, is moving and, though they will continue to sell tea and tea wares, they will not be offering a comfortable and classy place to sip tea with friends. I am very sad. It was the best place to have business meetings, family and friend gatherings, and to just sit by myself and enjoy the flavours of tea. *heavy sigh*

So, should anyone like to join me for a cuppa during the rest of September, let me know and we’ll make a date.

Well FUDGE! And here I was hoping to check in on this new institution when I made it out there... (hopefully this coming summer - 2006)

Went to the tea house out here.. Ouch. Tea? Only tea available was Bigelows.. served from a beautiful Twining's box. Absolutely rotten dry sandwiches.

There's another tea house on the other side of town, 20 miles from me... and it's booked solid if you don't have reservations. I'd guess that they're better. :) We'll make it there sometime for high tea. It's just not somewhere to just go and sit. Guess I'm stuck with the Java Jive coffee house for now (of course, it's run by a Seattle expat, so it feels like home!)

Maybe we'll have that little tea party with our hubbies later this month. Let me know when is good for you. My only impossible weekend day after the 16th is Saturday the 17th where I shall be securely ensconced behind the cases at Harlequin Beads. *smiles*
