G and I returned from our week in San Francisco late last night. We had a wonderful time filled with culture and laughs. We dropped Adam off at the airport and then began the drive home. We decided to just make a run for it all in one go rather than stop somewhere for the night. We realized that there are so many beautiful places to explore around here that we should just toss the dogs in the car, pack our tent and have a vacation of exploration one day. No agenda. Just stop where our whims and fancies desire. Whenever we have an agenda, we have to truck by at 65 mph and miss unseen golden opportunities. We’ll just file this under a “goal” and try to make it happen some day.

So, here I am, sitting in a dusty, dirty house full of laundry to, well, launder. I should motivate, but I slept in really late, woke to a completely barren fridge, a lack of breakfast, and heaps to accomplish. Apparently, instead of accomplishing any of this, my friends are far more important because I turned on the computer and caught up with email and journal reading, instead. Now, I am left with an empty stomach and loads to clean. Rather anticlimactic, don’t you think?

In other news, happy belated birthday, [livejournal.com profile] naudiz and anniversary to you and [livejournal.com profile] pjack! Sorry I missed any festivities.

Now, to clean.

Welcome home! I'm glad you had a wonderful time!

Your idea about just wandering and exploring sounds very muchly fun.

I plan to execute it ... someday.

We should also attempt a visit to my house for tea to see if Avalonne is hospitable to you. I'm planning to do some cleaning early this week, but I use all natural stuff, so hopefully, it will be okay. I'm excited to meet you.

I didn't go there. I didn't know of its existence. I brought back no chocolate. *hangs head in shame*

Welcome home! Travel is nice, but home is comfy. Hope you found victuals!
