altrus has tagged me to explain five reasons why I am a dork.

1. I take exceptional joy in watching action movies and leaning over to tell G, “He obviously took the Iron Will feat.” Or, “That must be a Sword of Kick-Butt plus five.” You see where I’m going with this.

2. I regularly quote classic Monty Python sketches, scenes from Princess Bride and other memorable films.

3. I read books and stop to research words and references I don’t understand… and sometimes write their meanings in the margins (if I own the book).

4. I’m a true hobbyist. I have collections of books on each of my hobbies/crafts, I’ve researched things completely before I set out to build/breed/etc. it, and I could talk for hours on each subject given enough interest by the other party.

5. I own my own reference library and actually built my own bookshelves into the walls of my library room to house them. They are categorized with each genre placed in it’s own bookshelf section(s). Some sections are even alphabetized by the author’s last name. I also have a [mostly updated] list of the books I own shared between the computer and my PDA so I do not buy repeat books when I stumble into a used bookstore.

Is that dorky enough?

Honestly, I think most of my friends have been subjected to this already. That is why I have foregone the tag portion of the event. I just don't have the patience to riffle through everyone's past posts to see who has and hasn't participated already.
