Dearest naudiz,

I was reading your latest entry about your body needing a lot of extra sleep and Flex walked in, read the first couple of lines over my shoulder and out burst, "She's sleeping all the time? She's taking all of your sleep, Carol! What's up with that? Are you just gonna let her do that? There's only a limited amount of sleep in the world and she's stealing your part!"

Well, the first mistake was him opening his mouth and allowing the words to be released. But, this is Flex. Enough said. *winks and giggles*

My response, as the duly elected mayor of Insomniaville (population: me), was, "Yeah, you think? What should we do, Flex, go over there and beat her up because she's sleeping past her allotment?"

So, if you are suddenly set upon by a group of peasants with pitchforks and torches all muttering about god given rights to equal sleep for all... well, just be warned. I have nothing to do with this and I'm going to try to quell the masses before they achieve critical velocity. Should I fail, though, and your surviving loved ones would like to exact vengeance upon me, they will likely find me pinned, bleary-eyed and helpless, to my bed by several lengths of rope and heavy weights while monks and witches circle about waving gospels and sage trying to induce that much anticipated pre-slumber hypnogogic state.

Just sayin’.

Well, I'm going to head to bed in a minute anyway. Hey, I'm goin' for the gold, here. I'm a wingnut. I'm going to try for that crazy, elusive sleep thing. That's me... livin' on the edge of sanity.
