I haven't done one of these in months. Now that I've weed whacked the front lawn some more (one of many installments to get the front in decent shape again), watered the garden, showered and dressed, I'm out the door to a morning tea party, an afternoon with
naudiz and
sbloss and an evening of another birthday party. Have I mentioned how much I love my life? Wheee!
1) Your pet of choice: cats, dogs, other?
I’m an animal person. I love all types.
2) Of these, which (if any) do you co-habitate with?
I have two Maltese dogs, in the moment.
3) Ever had to give up a pet due to circumstance?
I had to lose my male Maltese and two ferret boys in a divorce. The only baby I was able to keep was my female Maltese, Morgana. I simply couldn’t lose them all.
4) How often in your life have you lived in a pet-free home?
I grew up in a pet free home. And a plant free home. I was diagnosed with severe allergies when I was 9. It was the reason I kept catching colds all the time. The first three years of school I spent more time absent than in classes. My Mom became extremely serious about keeping me healthy and we weren’t allowed any pets, plants, anything. I did, however, manage to bind with Dad in convincing her to allow me a fish tank. This quickly became 5 fish tanks and an obsession was born.
5) What's the most irresponsible pet ownership activity you've ever seen?
I’ve seen horrific things to many different types of animals. I would prefer not to go into it as it merely serves to make me mad. I’ve tried to educate or help people when I could, but sometimes one is simply not able to make all the bad things better. Dag nabbit.
