We started searching for cars today. I am rather obsessive about my research for large purchases, so it will likely take a couple of weeks. I’ll keep you abreast. It seems like none of the cook hybrid electric or alternative fuel cars have gotten to Sydney… or perhaps the auto dealers don’t want to admit they know of any. I think we’ll probably end up buying a used older car to keep us for the time being.

Lord of the Rings debuts here on Boxing Day, the 26th. George and I are very excited and plan to be at the first showing on that day at 10am. I don’t know how the “freak and geek” scene is here. I’m hoping there will be a huge turnout and the theatre will be packed. It will be invigorating being surrounded by like-minded people for the first time since leaving home. I’m afraid I brought neither garb nor costumes with me in this trip, so I’ll have to dress mundanely for the movie. *sigh* Not nearly as much fun. Oh well. Seeing the Fellowship in Eugene was great. Lot’s of people dressed up, we saw at least half a dozen people we knew that we hadn’t even planned on meeting there, and the audience was ecstatic. I’m hoping and hoping that I can feel that charge of positive energy here. I really need some of that life-giving energy now.
