Avalonne: The Cooking

Tonight, there will be cooking. Oh yes, there will be cooking and maybe baking. I just spent hours out running errands (including two grocery stores as the first didn’t have all I needed) and now I am prepared to launder and cook. There are the makings for winter soup, veggie lasagna and eggplant parmesan. I don’t think I’ll make all three tonight, but at least there shall be one. I also bought ingredients for tropical island cookies. Mmmm… pineapple, coconut, and walnuts (macadamia nuts are outrageously expensive). I even bought a fresh pineapple and am contemplating sweet rice with pineapple and coconut milk as a desert.

Wow, I’m hungry! Must begin the cooking. Anyone interested in stopping by for a bite of fresh, mostly organic goodness should give me a ring. I have music pumping through the speakers and there shall be singing and dancing in the kitchen!

I should be home by 1pm. I was contemplating a hike up Pisgah, but we'll see how it goes.
