Cute, cute, cute! One of my backyard squirrels was overcome with the madness! It was playing with a piece of bark just like my ferrets did. There was much jumping around and pouncing. How sweet! I was far too amused to do anything but watch. What a great beginning to the vertical portion of my day!
Yes, the last sentence implies that I slept in. Wheee! Glorious, beautiful cuddle time with the family. I must admit, I wasn’t asleep the whole time. The last couple of hours I was laying there counting my blessings and appreciating them so they might be inspired to stick around a while longer.
I have my breakfast before me, the kettle is set to boil for tea, and a long list of things to accomplish today. My poor squirrel and bird friends are scavenging as best they can under the empty bird feeder. No wonder the squirrel had the madness! Feeding them is my first priority when I’m done myself. Then on to less glorious tasks. It’s good to be home, despite the chores. *squink*
