Gee, I hope it's me. *giggle*
Well, Mom over-used her recently post-operative shoulder and it's inflammed and painful. I stayed up with her until 1 am with plans to take her to see a doctor this morning but she couldn't handle the pain so we went to the emergency room at 4am. They gave her a powerful pain shot and I took her home at 9am. She's been in and out of sleep all afternoon. Hopefully, the orthopedic doctor's office will call me back with an appointment time soon.
The ER doctor gave her a prescription for pain pills that she has had before, but they make her sick to her stomach. What usually happens is I go to the pharmacy to fill it, bring it home, then she takes one or two pills and decides it hurts her stomach too much and she chucks them. I'm unsure whether to ride my bike down to a pharmacy and have them filled or not. Either way, I don't want to leave her alone in the moment, so I'll wait. I'm sure there must be a 24-hour pharmacy around Eugene somewhere in case I need to fill them in the wee hours.
