Wednesday mishaps, love and hugs

I had such an off day yesterday. I was apparently on the schedule at work from 10-3 but I had neglected to write it in my computer so for the whole month, I just “knew” I had it off. I had vast plans for cleaning, laundry, repotting, not to mention a house closing. By the time I found out about work, I had a little over an hour to get ready and be there by noon. I managed to make it but it threw my whole center of being off, not to mention made me look like a fool for my new job. *great sigh* I’ve never done that before. NEVER! Then again, this is my first retail job and I don’t work a set series of days and hours yet. It’s all just random. I like structure. I know I am low woman on the totem pole, but I will have to see if I can request certain days for the October schedule.

Despite working 12-6, I managed to do laundry, close the house, greet my Wednesday evening guests, go to Lori’s going away party, come back and say goodbye to my guests, then run off for an attempt at viewing Mars through a telescope. The last one didn’t pan out. By the time we arrived at the school, the line was incredibly long and very slow moving. Rather than stay there way past a reasonable hour for me to go to bed so I might be fresh for work, we left without viewing. *sigh*

On a brighter note, once I finally arrived at work, it was a very nice day. I also saw Dreadygoddess , Agthorr and the Bean at the party last night for the first time since they returned from their 3 week sojourn. The hugs were copious and of the highest caliber. Ah, the love…. Also, I received wonderful hugs and warm fuzzies from some of the gamer boys, not to mention Flex and G. Then, of course, there are the puppies who cannot be surpassed for the best energy possible.

Okay, must breakfast and off to work. I believe I’m off at 3 today, so if anyone wants to meet me for tea, I wouldn’t say no. Just call me at work or stop by and fetch me.

I'm back from work. I have spent a bit of time chatting with sbloss on Yahoo, doing silly quizes and generally avoiding the filth that has become my kitchen. I think that I shall further avoid it by finishing the laundry and working in the yard a bit. I have tomorrow off... yah! Maybe I'll get some beading done... one never knows.
