It’s been a busy day. I started my day with a bit of frustration. So, I purchased a ceiling fan and light to install in my library. All over the box were these warnings that you needed to install a brace between the joists that would take 50# of weight as most light fixtures do not have the stamina for a fan unit. So, I purchased all these items, brought them home, took apart the light and was immediately stymied by something that wasn’t in any of the drawings or descriptions. *rolls eyes* Just my luck. So, since I couldn’t bypass it, couldn’t pull it out, and didn’t dare install over it for fear the whole section of wall board in that area would come crashing down on my desk and the floors I worked so hard to install. I caved and called in a professional. He came to the door at 8am and took one look and declared that the ceiling should be just fine and that thingie up there was evidence that it should handle the extra weight just fine. CRAP! Since I was going to have to pay him for an hour anyhow, I just let him stay and install it. I COULD HAVE DONE IT MYSELF!!! I’m so sick of not trusting myself and calling in the highly paid professionals who pat me on the back and tell me I was right all along and, gee, thanks for helping me make the payments on my yacht. ARGH! I’m not convinced this is a backhanded compliment about my capabilities just because I was right. Bloody hey!
So, frustrated by my lack of experience and the simple fact that I fear my house blowing up or falling down because I didn’t take precaution, I rode off to work. The day started slowly, but at least my frustration faded and I ended the day on a rather fun note. Then I returned home to hear how Gana’s appointment went. My poor baby will have chronic back pain for the rest of her life. She has two compressed disc in her spine. I feel awful! How can so many bad things happen to such a wonderful little soul? No wonder she has been such a grump monster lately. Well, we’ll be starting a new regimen with her to try to alleviate some pain.
After that horrible bit of news, we went off to our Borders game. Fortunately, that was wonderfully funny. Everyone was particularly giggle happy tonight and we had a lot of fun. Now, I’m going to try to get some sleep. I still haven’t managed to breach the 4-6 hours of sleep a night mark in a couple of weeks. *sigh* And tomorrow morning I have blood tests with 12 hour fasts. No breakfast within the first half an hour makes Carol headachy for hours afterward. Yeah me! Gosh, I’m starting to sound like a grump monster too. I had better put myself to bed and escape the rest of this day.
I think I need a hug. I'm going out in search of one right now.

Fasting for tests is no fun, I get the same headachey goodness.
Are there doggie chiropractors?

Doubly agreed to the second sentence.
I don't know about chiropractors for dogs, but I wouldn't see one myself, so I'm not sending my baby to one. G and I have begun a home physical therapy regimen for her. It starts with us firing up the sauna for her for 15 minutes every morning to warm up her muscles so she can go outside and have her morning constitutional. I'm glad the sauna will be useful since I can't use it for a while. I'm actually jealous of her time in there.
There are puppy massages, anti-inflamatory meds and I will be looking for foam to make little puppy stairs for her so she can get up and down from the bed and couch more easily.
